I'm not far into having quit and one thing that has helped is having my water bottle with me at all times - when the urge happens I take a good swig of water - not only refreshes, but flushes as well!

As a ex smoker I can give some handy tips that were passed onto me. Remember, that when a craving comes it NEVER lasts more than 20-30 mins - so if you can occupy yourself for those moments, then you can continue to get through them and eventually they begin to cease. Also, one that worked well for me was to brush my teeth each time after I had eaten.
